About Us

Our goal is to provide optimal health care for your child. To this end, our pediatricians and staff will provide you with timely, concise personalized information about your child’s visit and exam. Most sick visits take about 15 or more minutes, while well baby visits are more time consuming at around 20-30 minutes. Visits for adolescents are obviously more lengthy. We welcome questions. Please write them down so as not to forget.

During sick visits, after careful review of the history and physical exam, your pediatrician will discuss your child’s diagnosis and possible treatments as well as medication schedules. This, along with any pertinent laboratory results, will be written down for your review.

Upon exiting, one of our nurses will answer any further questions you may have. She will also make sure that all your prescriptions and information sheets are in order before your leaving. Additionally, she will help you in scheduling a follow-up visit.

If your pediatrician requests a referral for your child, the front desk will assist. We will provide the name and telephone number of the consulting doctor and ask that you schedule a time and office location convenient for you. Then call our staff and we will arrange for the proper paperwork. Please be aware that for your privacy and security, referrals cannot be faxed nor telephoned except, of course, for emergencies.

During health maintenance visits, your pediatrician will review your child’s physical growth as well as developmental milestones and daily routines. Here, too, you will receive a copy of this information, which is placed the baby book which was given to you at the time of your child’s birth. This also serves as a nice keepsake of your baby’s progress as well as an immunization record.

Other services available include prenatal consults, counseling on attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, learning disability or other behavior problems, as well as allergy injections. Serial spirometry is provided as part of asthma monitoring.

Immunizations are given as recommended by the CDC’s Advisory Committee of Immunization Practices of the American Academy of Pediatrics. You are required by law to sign an informed consent after you have read and understood the information supplied by the CDC regarding the vaccines to be administered.
